Betty J. Lange, 81 of Scribner, NE, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.  She was born February 12, 1933 in rural Cedar Bluffs, NE to Harold and Alice (Cords) Gaeth.  She graduated from Fremont High School in 1951.  Betty was married to her first husband, Lloyd Zauss in 1954 and he passed away in December of 1996.  On October 22, 1997, she was married to Charles Lange and she moved with him to Scribner, NE where they have lived for the past 16 years.  She spent 35 years working for the Wahoo Greenhouse.

Betty loved the outdoors and she loved to travel.  She always enjoyed camping with her family and watching wrestling with Charles.  Flowers made her happy along with the time she spent gardening and watching birds.  She had several hobbies, but the time with her family she enjoyed the most.

In her younger years, Betty was very involved in 4-H.  She was a member of the Wahoo Garden Club and a secretary at the Platteville Cemetery Association.  She was a past member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wahoo, where she was active in the women’s guild.

She is survived by husband, Charles Lange of Scribner; daughters, Deborah (Gaylen) Cox of Wahoo and Darlene (Ron) Minor of Bellevue; nine step-children and spouses; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by 1st husband, Lloyd Zauss; parents, Harold and Alice Gaeth; brother, George Gaeth.

Rev. Bruce L. Schut will be officiating.
