Blanche A. Virgil, 95, of Raymond, NE, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 31, 2018 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE.  She was born May 26, 1923 in Bee, NE to Thomas and Emilie (Klima) Kocian.

Blanche met her husband, Wilmer “Bud” Virgil at St. Joseph Church in Agnew, NE where they would sit in the back pew and hold hands.  They were married on February 18, 1946 in that same church.  Bud and Blanche bought their farm in 1947 and continued farming until they retired in 1991.

Blanche was a member of Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church, Altar Society and the American Legion #371 Auxiliary.  She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and watching birds.

She is survived by children, Janice Virgil, Kenneth (Lisa) Virgil, Kathleen (Keith) Smith, Diane (Steve Owen) Blazek, Keith (Melissa) Virgil and Jackie (Rick) Lorchick; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Wilmer “Bud” Virgil; parents, Thomas and Emilie Kocian; and five siblings.
