Cheryl L. Bartek, 51 of Valparaiso, NE entered into eternal rest Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. She was born November 13, 1967 in David City, NE to Donald and Loretta (Vondra) Tejral. She graduated from East Butler High School in 1987. She was a dedicated employee at David’s Place in David City for 28 years. Her co-workers and the residents there were considered her extended family. Cheryl was also a devoted caregiver for her ailing mother who was battling cancer. She was united in marriage to Ronald Bartek on September 12, 1992 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard, NE.
Cheryl enjoyed collecting Nebraska memorabilia and was an avid Husker fan. She was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy, NE.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Ronald Bartek; siblings, Denise (Butch) Rorabaugh, Bruce (Lorene) Tejral, Alan (Tammy) Tejral, Duane (Diane) Tejral and Loran Tejral; nieces and nephews, Audrey, Joe, Jesse, Jacki, Wendy, Adam, Austin, Kristine, Kody, Kourtney, Erin and Samantha; many great-nieces and nephews and special friend, Bev Rerucha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Loretta Tejral; grandparents, Louis and Helen Tejral, Joe and Flora Vondra; brother, Greg Tejral and nephew, Chris Kastl.
Cheryl was an amazing coworker with such a kind soul. Her David place family misses her deeply. And keeping her family and husband in our prayers and thoughts.

My husband was a resident at David Place and Cheryl was wonderful care giver. Very friendly and will be sorely missed.

Cheryl overcame a lot in her life. She was full of compassion and love. She was an awesome pool-player My deepest sympathies to her family. May you be comforted by your faith that she has joined her loving heavenly family❤️
