Cora Jane Fidler, 90 of Wahoo, NE, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at her home in Wahoo. She was born October 5, 1925 in Memphis, NE to Frank and Zelma (Keiser) Newsham. Jane attended District 5 country school through the 8th grade and graduated from Ashland High School in 1943. On February 25, 1944, she was married to William Fidler in Fairmont, NE.
In her earlier years, Jane taught at a country school until moving to Wahoo in 1948. She owned a dress store in downtown Wahoo for 15 years. Jane was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wahoo.
She is survived by husband of 72 years, William “Bill” Fidler Sr.; sons: William “Bill” (Valerie) Fidler Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Paul Fidler of Woodcliff, NE, Jerald “Jerry” Fidler of Wahoo; daughter: Sue (Mike) Kralik of Auburn; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Zelma Newsham and brother Glen Newsham.
I am honored to call her my grandma ? Thank you so much for all you have taught me and done for me my sweet precious grandma?
Jane was a wonderful lady! I knew her when she owned the dress shop. I will miss seeing her in Wahoo. My sincere sympathy to Bill and his family.
