Dolores M. Peterson, 85, of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE. She was born February 11, 1932 in Touhy, NE to Henry J. and Bessie (Musil) Maly. Dolores attended St. Wenceslaus School and graduated from Wahoo High School. On April 22, 1952, she was united in marriage to Jerry Peterson at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo, NE. Through the years, Dolores worked at J.C. Penny’s in Wahoo, the Wahoo Clinic, Dailey Pharmacy and Peterson Construction as a bookkeeper for 45 years.
Dolores was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, St. Wenceslaus PCCW, the VFW #4502 Auxiliary, Altar Rosary Society and St. Ludmilla Guild. She was a woman with a strong faith and her pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed Bridge Club, sewing quilts for her family, walking, watching sporting events, especially following her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid Husker football fan and she always enjoyed traveling to games with the van gang. One of her favorite things was reading to children at St. Wenceslaus School.
She is survived by husband of 65 years, Jerry Peterson; children, Sheri (Ron) Meduna of Weston and Todd (Lorene) Peterson of Ashland; grandchildren, Chad (Racheal) Meduna, Chelsea Meduna, Ali Peterson, Ben Peterson and Andrew Peterson; great-grandchildren, Jaison and Graesyn Meduna; sisters, Bernice Noonan and Maxine (Bruce) Williams; many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents; sisters, Henrietta Nelson and Judy Peters; parents-in-law, Everett and Bessie Peterson.

I’m so saddened to hear about Dolores. I worked with her at St. Wenceslaus- and enjoyed every minute of it. She is a special special lady. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all.
So sorry to hear of Dolores passing. She was a hero because she stayed in her home town and contributed greatly to the community.
