Donna J. Gaddis, 81 of Mead, NE, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at her home in Mead. She was born November 21, 1934 in Humboldt, NE to Harold and Opal (Lionberger) Munson. Donna graduated from Humboldt High School in 1953. On June 4, 1954, she was married to Mark Martin Gaddis Jr. in Humboldt. Donna loved quilting, reading, flowers, and working in the yard.
She is survived by children: Larry Gaddis of Mead, Donald Gaddis of Lincoln, Doug Gaddis of Wahoo, David (Tricia) Gaddis of Kentucky, Sarah Martin of Fremont, and Karla (Mitch) Stoltenberg of Omaha; grandchildren: James (Crystal) Martin, Mike (Holly) Martin, Donna (Luther Johnson) Martin, Matthew (Gina) Stoltenberg, Daniel (Laura Sheppard) Stoltenberg, Heather (Robert) Bowman, and Mary Gaddis; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Wilma (Rasty) Stephens and Faye (Dick) Rhinehart; brother Lee (Jackie) Munson.
She was preceded in death by husband Mark M. Gaddis Jr.; son Garry Lee Gaddis; parents Harold and Opal Munson; brother Vernon Munson.
My sympathy to the family. Donna was a classmate at Humboldt High School and I enjoyed getting her letters telling about her family. She will be missed. With our weather so unpredictable I doubt if I will be driving to Wahoo for the services since i would be coming alone. Sincerely Eunice Fass
My sympathy to the family. I graduated with Donna from Humboldt High School in 1953 and always enjoyed seeing her when she was able to come to our class reunions. She was a sweet lady and many family and friends will miss her. It doesn’t sound like good weather the day of her funeral so I probably won’t be able to attend. Sincerely, Pat (Stalder) Jensen
Jim my friend, I knew she was sick. She went so sudden. My sympathies go out to you and your siblings.
I loved my grandma so very much, i just wish i could have been there for my father, grandma and grandpa.
