Edmund B. Koranda, 90 of Malmo, NE entered into eternal rest Monday, December 31, 2018 at his home.  He was born December 10, 1928 in Malmo to Alois “Louis”and Josephine (Havlovic) Koranda.  He attended St. John Catholic School in Prague, NE.

Edmund was a life-long farmer in the Malmo area and also worked in the maintenance department at the Civic Center in Wahoo during the 1990’s. He was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Plasi, NE, where he sang in the choir, member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association (FCSLA), Nebraska Czechs, chapter in Prague, NE and the Nebraska Nut Growers Association.

Edmund is survived by his sister, Lucille (Edward) Kremlacek; niece, Christine (Doug) Kavan; one great-niece and six great-nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alois “Louis” and Josephine Koranda and great-niece, Angela Kavan.

    I worked with Ed at the civic center for a long time. He was always good for a laugh. Even after I lefted there he would always talk to you. He was a nice guy. I can still hear his laugh. Now u can take it easy Ed!!

    So sorry for your loss that is too deep for words. We wish that time spent with those we love could last forever, but our memories do comfort us. In all these years, I didn’t remember that we shared the same date of birth. Please know that we are thinking of you and wishing you a peaceful heart.
