Emil R. Polacek, 82 of Wahoo, NE, formerly of Prague, NE, entered into eternal rest Saturday, July 7, 2018 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE.  He was born February 24, 1936 in Prague, NE to Emil and Marie (Vasa) Polacek.  He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic grade school and graduated from Prague High School.  He was united in marriage on August 30, 1956 to Jackie Perk at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague.

Emil was a lifelong farmer in the Prague area.  He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and attending his grandchildren’s activities.  He is a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

He is survived by his children, Pat (Mike) Drozda, of Lincoln, Paul (Renee) Polacek of Wahoo, Peggy Polacek of Lincoln and Mike (Sandi) Polacek of Omaha; grandchildren, Chris, Natalie (Jason), Mitch (Cheryl), Joel (Laura), Kelly (Erin), Paige, Faith, Jude, Brooke, Marissa, Emily and Drew; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Joss, Desi, Theo and Finn; siblings, Robert (Arline) Polacek, Alf (Carol) Polacek, Dorothy Vavak and Marie Sloup.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Polacek; parents, Emil and Marie Polacek; brothers, Frank and John Polacek; sisters, Agi Polacek, Julia Polacek and Margaret Palensky.
