Hi everyone. This is Don Prentice responding. I was sorry to read about your mom in the paper today. I remember talking to her at the grocery store way back when we lived in Ashland and I’m reminded of what a really nice lady she was. You are all in my prayers today Sincerely Don
Oh Evelyn, I’ve said goodbye and hello to you so many times in my life….it’s hard to believe this is my final goodbye. I have so many wonderful memories of my time with you, every holiday you made so very special and meaningful, Sunday dinners at you house, Amanda, Max and Dennis putting on their fireworks show for you, how I could always count on you to take care of the boys when they were too sick to go to school, your summer vacations in CA. Max and Dennis were so very lucky to be your grandsons. Evelyn was from humble beginnings and evolved into a loving spirit who grabbed every joy life could bring her, especially her family. How she loved her boys! She showed such strength and dignity, whatever life had brought her way, through unbelievable sorrow with the loss of her husband, two sons and a daughter, to accepting her transition from home to Oxbow. Evelyn made the best of whatever situation she was in, especially as she aged, medical challenges be damned….Evelyn would still push on. Ninety four years of never giving up! Although her heart has stopped beating, the love she has spread to family and friends will live on forever. Her shopping cart is full of a life lived well. You will be loved and missed forever, Evelyn .
I want to express my immense gratitude for Ann Vest, who, for so many years, cared lovingly, and with so much strength and sacrifice, for not only Evelyn, but for Charles and George Sr, as only a daughter/wife could.
I am so sorry you are on longer with us ! You are reunited with your family! You will always be in our thoughts and prayers!
With deepest sympathy, my thoughts and prayers are with you…
