Frank J. Ptacek was born December 13, 1921 near Bruno, NE to Frank and Lydia (Bohaty) Ptacek. He died in the Saunders Medical Center on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the age 92.

Frank served in the Navy during WWII as an aircraft sheet metal repairman. He returned home to Bruno to farm until his retirement. In 1948, he married Clara Barcal. They were married 49 years until her death in 1997. In 2000, he married Lucille Pleskac of Weston. After 14 years of marriage, she died last week on October 11^th.

He is survived by his nieces, Dale Ann Gran and Deanna (Jeff) TePoel; cousin, Richard (Carolyn) Semrad; neighbors, Clarence and Arthur Novacek; 9 step-children; and six nephews, Richard Bohaty, Fred Krenk, John Krenk, Bernard Krenk, Ben Krenk, and Gerald Krenk.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Clara and Lucille; niece, Denise Kubik; parents; brother, Jerry; and several other relatives.
