Gary O. Coutts, 76, of Wahoo, NE, died Friday, August 12, 2016 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo. He was born March 3, 1940 in rural Page, NE to Owen W. and Garnetta E. (Emory) Coutts. Gary graduated from Creighton High School in Creighton, NE in 1958. He entered the U.S. Army in 1959 and served his country until he was honorably discharged in 1962. On December 4, 1964, Gary was married to Birdie Obermeyer in South Sioux City, NE.
Gary was an avid fisherman and he was the owner of the Wahoo Bait and Tackle Shop.
He is survived by wife of 51 years Birdie Coutts; children: Kimberly (Joseph DaMoude) Wragge of Mesa, AZ, Todd (Kelley) Coutts of Elkhorn, NE, Paige Koehler of Omaha, NE, Tracy (Robbie) Stohler of Parrish, FL; daughter-in-law Cheri Coutts of Ainsworth, NE; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother Terry Coutts of Santee, NE; sisters: Connie (James) Clough of Norfolk, NE, Cindy Kennedy of Jane Lew, WV.
He was preceded in death by son Dana Coutts and parents.
I love Gary and all of you. He will be greatly missed. I have always thought very highly of Tracy’s parents and charish every moment together. Easter will always be more meaningful since we spent it with Gary and Birdie this year. Thank you.
