Geraldine “Jerry” Lemon, 95 of Ashland, NE passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Oxbow Living Center in Ashland, NE.  She was born August 22, 1923 in Ashland, NE to Paul and Flora (Harris) Olson.  She was a graduate of Ashland High School and was united in marriage to Cortis E. Lemon on February 12, 1946 at the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, NE.

Jerry took pride as a farmer’s wife and stay at home mom.  She liked the day-to-day chores of the farm from mowing to serving lunch. She enjoyed visiting with people, watching the trains go by and volunteering at the Ashland Care Center.  She was a member of the Neighborhood Extension Club and the Ashland Historical Society.

She is survived by her sons, John (Peggy) Lemon of Lincoln, Larry (Sandy) Lemon of Greenwood; grandchildren, Jason Lemon, Mindy (Preston) Marsh, Stacey (Jack) Tarr, Jessica (C.J.) James; great-grandchildren, Madalynn Lemon, Jordan Lemon, Jack Tarr, IV, Addyson Tarr, Nevaeh James, Zack James; sister-in-law, Jan Lemon of Roca, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Flora Olson; husband, Cortis E. Lemon.

    She was a great lady that I have had the pleasure of knowing for at least 60 years. Her parents lived across the street from my parents. I grew up with John and Larry. She will be missed by all the knew her.
