Helen Frances Scholz, 89 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Saunders Care Center in Wahoo. She was born on February 6, 1925 in Columbus, NE to Alfred and Freida Gossman. On September 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Rudolph Scholz in Columbus, NE. The couple farmed at Valparaiso, NE until December, 1961. Then they moved to a farm west of Wahoo, NE where she lived until 2 years ago.

Helen was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking and canning the fresh produce from her garden. She specially enjoyed her red roses. Crocheting was one of her hobbies, as she made many afghans through the years for her family.

She is survived by children, Richard (Linda) Scholz of Bella Vista, AR, Robert Scholz of Wahoo, Ronald (Tammie) Scholz of Lincoln, Roger Scholz of Sergant Bluff, IA; son-in-law, Randy Haack of Lincoln; grandchildren, Lee (Erica) Haack, Kris (Emily) Haack, Ryan (Sarah) Haack, Sarah Scholz, Nicholas Scholz, Natalie Scholz, Shelby Scholz, Sydney Scholz; great-grandchildren, Carter and Katie Haack; brother, Howard (Evelyn) Gossman of Chicago, IL; sisters, Dorothy Schmid of Columbus, Isabelle (Gunnar) Clausen of Columbus, Jeanette Schmid of David City.

She was preceded in death by husband, Rudolph Scholz; daughter, Kathryn Haack; parents, Alfred and Freida Gossman; brother, Alfred “Bud” Gossman Jr.

Rev. Charles Townsend will be the celebrant.

    Helen was a very humble, beautiful lady! Staff here at the Care Center enjoyed her positive attitude and her genuine concern for those around her. We are blessed to have known her and care for her. What a wonderful family! Karen Miller
