Ione M. Timm, 86 of Bellevue, NE passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Hillcrest Shadow Lake Nursing Home in Papillion, NE.  She was born August 24, 1932 in Swedeburg, NE to Evans and Edith (Johnson) Fullerton.  She grew up in Ithaca, NE where she attended school.

She was united in marriage to Carlos Timm on October 24, 1951 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Ithaca.  The two moved to Ashland, NE where their two children were born, Dorisann and Donald.  The eventually moved to Omaha and lived there for many years.

Ione thoroughly enjoyed her career in nursing and worked at the Douglas County and Clarkson Hospitals in Omaha.  She also provided private duty care for the Olsen family in Omaha, which she really enjoyed.  After Carlos retired in 1986 they moved to Rogers, AR where Ione was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers.

Ione and Carlos were members of the United Methodist Church in Rogers where she volunteered for the bake sales and folded bulletins for Sunday services, she had many church friends.  She also volunteered her time for NARF, sending out newsletters and meeting times.  After Carlos’ death her health declined and she moved to Bellevue, NE to be closer to her family.

Ione’s hobbies included needle point, flower gardening and embroidery.  She crossed stitched many baby quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She especially loved visits from her family and friends.

She is survived by children, Dorisann (Marc) Sims of Colorado Springs, CO and Donald (Bev) Timm of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren, Tonya June of Colorado Springs, CO, Angela (Joe) Waszak of Elkhorn, Charlene (Todd) Morgan of Tabor, IA and Adam Timm of Bellevue; eight great-grandchildren; extended family, nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Carlos J. Timm; parents, brothers, John, Robert and infant Arthur Fullerton.
