James E. Palm, 76, of Weston, NE, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE.  He was born July 28, 1942 in North Bend, NE to Edward and Alice (Pallas) Palm.  Jim served his country in the U.S. Army until he was honorable discharged in 1963.  On March 14, 1964, he was married to Sue Luedtke in West Point, NE.

Jim was a lifelong farmer that enjoyed hunting, fishing and caring for his peacocks, sheep and cows.  He loved farming and was always a helpful neighbor.  Through the years, Jim also worked for Wietfield Custom Hay, Siebrant Farm, Schuyler Pack, Darling Rendering and University Dairy.  He was a member of the Saunders County Livestock Association, Weston American Legion Post #308 and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #8439 in Snyder, NE.

He is survived by wife of 54 years, Sue Palm; children, Brenda (Eric) Hansen of Fremont, Rod (Julie) Palm of Wahoo and Joe (Liane) Palm of Wahoo; grandchildren, Joey, Chris, Jamie and Bobbie Jo Palm, Wyatt and Marissa Palm, Christine (Leroy) Bax, Brooke and Lindsey Hansen; great-grandchildren, Lilly and Cody Bax; sister, Dorothy (Don) Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alice Palm; sister, Verna Jean Anderson; brother, Duane Palm; nephew, Jamie Charleston.

    Sue I am so sorry ,I will miss him so when we come play at SouthHaven, he always made sure he greeted me when we came ,Bless his heart.he was a good man and I pray for you in the coming days ,the change is difficult.
