James “Jim” B. Robertson, 63 of Ashland, NE, passed away at his home in Ashland on Saturday, June 7, 2014.  He was born August 24, 1950 in Lincoln, NE to Burke and Beth (Stanley) Robertson.  Jim graduated from the job corp. in 1967 and soon after was enlisted in the U.S. Army.  He served his country during the Vietnam War until he was honorably discharged in 1970.  On April 23, 1997, he was married to Diana Roper in Wahoo, NE.  Through the years, Jim worked for Grand Island Express, Scot O. Trucking, and then Robertson Auto with his father.

Jim loved watching sprint car and A-Mod racing and he was building an A-Mod car.  He was a member of American Legion Post #129.

He is survived by wife, Diana Robertson; children, Scot Robertson, Bill (Kelly) Robertson, Tony (Laurie) Robertson, T.J. (Lauren) Robertson; step-children, Troy (Laura) Phillips and Courtney (Kevin) Ralli; 13 grandchildren; mother, Beth Robertson; sisters, Charlotte (Lloyd) Starkey and Mary (Leon) Hanson.

Preceded in death by his father, Burke R. Robertson.

Pastor Lisa Sherman will be officiating.
