Jill R. Vandeman, 51 of Lincoln, NE, died Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Tabitha Healthcare in Lincoln. She was born April 14, 1964 in Lincoln to Glen and Patsy (Scott) Miller. Jill went to work at St. Elizabeth Hospital in the medical/oncology unit, Care Office, and a short time in the radiology department. Jill was working in the Care Office during the time of her illness and the love and support of her co-workers was beyond measure. On September 14, 1985, Jill was married to Jerry Vandeman in Ashland and this was a match made in Heaven. Jerry and Jill have two daughters, April and Ashley, both of Lincoln.

Jill loved Husker sports of all kinds and was one of their biggest fans. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. Because of her warm kind spirit and her contagious laugh she was loved by all who knew her.

    Jerry and family:
My heart is so heavy for you now in the loss of someone so dear to you all. Jill was a wonderful loving person and I know you will miss her so very much. I am praying God will give you his peace that passes all understanding and reason. Only he can heal the sore that you feel now. Psalm 34:18 states our hopes for strength………”.The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those crushed in spirit.” Even Jesus wept when his friend died. It is a hard thing to experience a separation. She is now without any pain or discomfort, she is dancing on golden streets with her parents. I pray that this can comfort you some. Our human bodies are so frail but our eternal body cannot be taken from us.
Please know that I am praying for you all.
    Aunt Cheryl

Dear Jerry and family, Jill and I worked together at St Elizabeth’s hospital on the medical floor when Jill was just a new grad. She was a very caring nurse and wonderful co-worker. My sincere sympathies to all of you in your time of sorrow. My family has been praying a rosary for her & all of you. I know you miss her deeply and pray that memories comfort you now and in the days to come.

    With sincere sympathy,
