In care of the family for future designation
Judy Petska-Mink, 54 of Wahoo, NE entered into eternal rest, Friday, August 31, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 25, 1964 in Wahoo, NE to Stanley and Mary Ann (Roe) Petska. She attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic grade school, Bishop Neumann High School and received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Southeast Community College. Judy worked as an LPN at the Wahoo Hospital/Coleman Clinic, Lincoln General Hospital and Bryan Hospital.
Judy enjoyed rock collecting, reading, and gardening, but most of all she loved cats. She was instrumental in starting the cat intake program at Saunders County Lost Pets/Pet Rescue and served as a board member for more than 10 years. Her compassion and love of animals especially for cats was truly amazing. It is because of Judy that Saunders County Lost Pets/Pet Rescue started taking in cats and adopted out more than 600. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and life member of VFW Auxiliary Post #4502.
Judy is survived by her children, Zach (Kerstin) Mink of Pleasant Dale, NE, Danielle Mink of Wahoo, NE; grandchildren, Victoria Mink and Drennen Hall; siblings, Bob (Lisa) Petska, Debra (Les) Fraim and Sandy Otte; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stan & Mary Ann Petska; sister-in-law, Sue Hatten-Petska; brother-in-law, Daniel Otte.
Sorry for your loss my deepest sympathies and love go to the family
Judy was a special person who will be missed. I worked with her at the hospital when she was an aide and then an LPN. She was a very caring nurse. May she RIP.
