Karen Eileen Baker, 59, of Ashland, NE, was born on September 12, 1957 in Phoenix, AZ.  She went to Plymouth High School in Michigan and Southeast College in Lincoln, NE.  Karen was married to Troy Baker on March 17, 1989.

She was a seamstress for 20 years in fashion, furniture and remodeling.  She moved to Nebraska in 2001 where she became part of the Riverview Church family.  She was a loving mother, grandmother “Gammy” and friend. Karen was always willing to help others before herself.  She loved life and found happiness in her friends, family and church.

Karen left this world on Thursday morning at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE on May 18, 2017 at 2:54 am.

She is survived by 3 children: April (Jason) Baker of Norfolk, NE; Jason (Jamie) Baker of Omaha, NE; Tiffany (Sam) Turpin of Hebron, IN; 5 grandchildren: Alexis Slavey, Braydon Slavey, Khloe Slavey, Phoenix Wells and Dawson Baker.

    Rip. Karen aka haggerty.are paths cross in the late 70s when we both worked at country lanes bowling alley,to this day I always remember you one of those special people who you never forget.upon finding this out it’s like I lost a special friend who left a big smile in my world decades later

    I miss you mom. I think about you everyday and if I am doing things that are making you proud. The kids and I talk about tou all the time. They love looking at your bells and asking questions about you and me when I was little. I love you mom❤
