Your mom was a CNA at St Joseph’s Villa in David City and I grew to know her well as my dad has been there for several years and still is. She was truly an “angel” on earth and the residents loved her! She spoke highly of her husband, children and grand children. So sorry for the loss of both of your parents.

My sympathies to the family. I worked with Marty at St. Joseph’s Villa in David City. She was a hoot! Her fiery personality was always one that made me laugh. May she and Larry rest in eternal peace!

To the children of Marty and Larry. I can’t even imagine your sorrow as it has been sorrowful for me. I was a classmate and co-worker at the Villa. Marty was an angel on earth so I’m confident she now is with Jesus in heaven. Marty and Larry’s life here together on earth was done as they enjoy eternal life now together with Jesus. God Bless all of you

Hearing about this accident just breaks my heart. I got to know Marty while my mother lived at the Villa in David City. She was the most wonderful, caring person. She really cared about how the residents/and their families felt. She knew that my mother wanted to listen to the Sunday morning polka show and was concerned about finding it on the small radio in my mother’s room. I will always remember her kindness to my mother and me–especially the time that she spent with us during my mother’s last days with us. What a wonderful person she was! May God bless your family at this extremely sad time.

I was a classmate of Martys. Whenever our paths crossed, she always took time to stop and visit, so we would catch up on kids, and whatever else was going on in our lives. She was so friendly and positive. I also saw her while my parents were in the Villa, and she was so good with the residents. My sympathies and prayers to the families of Marty and Larry.

We were surprised to see he and Marty lately at Republican events. Orv had a great talk with him the last time we saw him. It is truly a tragedy to lose Larry and Marty so suddenly. We are so sorry! Deepest sympathy to the the family of Marty and Larry. I can’t imagine losing both parents at the same time, and the whole area will be at loss without them in it. They were both such vibrant people. I remember the Mach family well from going to church in Plasi when I was little and growing up. A few times I went to Mass there lately with my dad and Larry would be there also. Larry would always come to my dad after Mass and talk. Always interesting what the conversation was about, and always ended up laughing about something. I’m sure they were met at heaven’s gate by all the angels and family members that went before them. Now Marty can yodel in heaven, and Larry can update everyone up in heaven what they are missing here on earth, which lot going on so he will be talking forever. Rest in peace Larry and Marty.
