Lillian and I became friends almost 24yrs ago. She was 80 and I was a mere 30 years old. You may wonder, what was are common thread. Well,we share a devotion to the Holy Rosary and we worked together making Rosaries for the Missions. Lillian and her sister Helen were founding members of the Wahoo Rosaries for the Missions. This organization was started under moderation of Rev. Joseph Mroczkowski during the fall of 1973. Lillian was the founder and chairwoman of this organization for 23yrs until 1996 when she pasted the role of chairwoman on to me. I always found comfort in knowing that she prayed for me before she knew me. Lillian and other Rosary Makers made efforts to pray that their club would continue on even though many of the members had lost their eyesight and making Rosaries was getting physically challenging for them. They prayed for a young person to be interested in their group and to continue its mission. Lillian guided me as the president of the Rosary Makers and became my mentor. Over the years Lillian gave me invaluable advise. I feel blessed to be able to call her my dear friend.
