Loretta C. Snitily, 83, of Prague, NE, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo, NE.  She was born March 5, 1934 in rural Prague, NE to Louis and Lydia (Humlicek) Ostry.  Loretta attended St. John’s Catholic School until the 8th grade and then graduated from Prague High School in 1953 as the class valedictorian.  On October 5, 1955, she was united in marriage to Leonard J. Snitily at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prague, NE.

Loretta was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Plasi, NE where she was active in the Rosary Society.  She taught CCD for many years.  She loved listening to Polka music, baking, sewing, gardening, canning, crocheting and embroidery.

She is survived by husband of 62 years, Leonard Snitily; children, Ernest (Reye) Snitily of Columbus, Loraine (Patrick) Bartek of Weston, Dennis Snitily of Prague, Delores Snitily of Lincoln, Leonard Snitily of Prague, John Snitily of Prague, Phyllis (Scott) Wynegar of Ulysses and Darlene (Brian) Kastl of Lincoln; grandchildren, Michelle (Eric) Oberhauser of Sawtry, England, Stephen (Elissa) Snitily of Omaha, Liz (Paul) Sutton of Wahoo, Katie (Brad) Potthoff of Highlands Ranch, CO, Mark (fiancée Nikki Stenzel) Snitily of Mankato, MN, Nick (Mary) Bartek of Valparaiso, Alivia Bartek of Weston, Nina and Charles Kastl of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Lorah and Holly Oberhauser, Brandi, Gavin, Carly and Austin Sutton, William James Potthoff and Benjamin Bartek; siblings, Marie Havlovic of David City, Edith Sousek of Morse Bluff, Herman (Donna) Ostry of Bruno and Jerome (Mary Ann) Ostry of Prague; brother-in-law, Frank Sousek of Prague.

She was preceded in death by parents, Louis and Lydia Ostry; infant son, Clarence Snitily; parents-in-law, Joseph and Mary (Fujan) Snitily; sisters and brother-in-law, Irene and Emil Snitily, Angela Sousek and Georgia Ostry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Havlovic, Edward Sousek, Anton Snitily, Charles Snitily, Martha Snitily Marie and Bohumil Polak, Joe and Hedvika Snitily, Rose and Arnold Machacek; niece, Marlene Veik; nephews, Marvin Sousek and Tom Machacek.
