Marie A. Bohaty, 88 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo. She was born May 14, 1926 in Weston, NE to Philip and Mary (Kremlacek) Kellner. She attended district 98 country school until the 8th grade. On January 9, 1951, Marie was united in marriage to Frank E. Bohaty at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Plasi, NE. Marie and Frank lived on a farm south of Weston for many years before moving to Wahoo. She worked as a cook for Wahoo Public Schools for 20 years until her retirement in 1989.

Marie was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church where she was active in the PCCW and the St. Ludmilla’s Guild. She loved baking, gardening, sewing and quilting, canning, and fishing.

She is survived by grandchildren, Timothy (Lisa) Bohaty, Sara (Joe Yates) Bohaty, Rebecca (Jeremy) Hraban; great-grandchildren, Trevor Bohaty, Addison Bohaty, Camden Bohaty, Brayden Hraban, Ava Hraban; brothers Jim Kellner, Cy (Albina) Kellner, Phil Kellner; sister, Lillian Bohaty; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Bollwitt; many other family members and friends.

Preceded in death by husband, Frank Bohaty; son, Charles Bohaty; parents, Philip and Mary Kellner; sister, Ann Pacula; sisters-in-law, Nordeen Kellner and Helen Kellner.

Rev. Adam Sparling will be officiating.

    I will always remember Frank and Marie. I went to District 49 with their son Charles. Living on a farm and going to a county school were memories I will never forget. I’m so sorry, I know your memories of your Grandmother will always be in your hearts. Patty and Shelbie Scharf
