Marilyn Ann Lehr, 73 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 20, 2015 at her home in Wahoo. She was born December 2, 1941 in Nickerson, NE to Ray and Mabel (Allen) Diers. Marilyn attended grade school in Nickerson and later graduated from Fremont High School and attended Midland Lutheran College. After college she worked at Fremont National Bank. On July 10, 1965, she was married to Jim Lehr. Then Jim and Marilyn moved to Wahoo and Marilyn worked as a secretary at Platte Valley Foods until the birth of her first son. She stayed home to raise her sons until they were in school. Marilyn worked as a teacher’s aid to special needs students for over 20 years at Wahoo Public Schools until her retirement in 2003.
Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She always enjoyed her home, her flower garden, and traveling with her family. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, the Saunders County Hospital Auxiliary, and she volunteered at the blood mobile.
She is survived by husband of 49 years, Jim Lehr; sons, Jeff Lehr of Cambridge, NE, Chris (Lisa) Lehr of Meade, KS, Michael (Kat) Lehr of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, Kamie (Leslie) Towsen of Cambridge, NE, Cassie (Bill) Stoner of Wichita, KS, Stephanie Lehr of Omaha, Jillian Lehr and Nolan Lehr of Kansas City, KS; sister, Virginia (Norman) Hilbers of Omaha; sister-in-law, Peggy Lehr of Madison, NE.
