In Care of the Family

Marilyn K. Shultz, 83 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo. She was born June 15, 1931 in Wahoo to Finley and Wilma (Steele) Walter. She attended District 64 and then graduated from Wahoo High School. Through the years, Marilyn worked at Campbell Soup, Haven House, Hellstar, Platte Valley Foods, and Reliable Services. She was a member of the Eagle’s Club in Fremont and the Wahoo VFW Post #4502 Auxiliary.

Marilyn’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren had a special place in her heart. She always enjoyed spending time with them and she also loved her dog, Angel. She loved watching all cooking shows and Jeopardy. Visiting with friends while eating out was one of Marilyn’s favorite things to do.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Janice Shultz of Wahoo; grandchildren, Joy (Jason Maly) Shultz of Wahoo and Joe Shultz of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Jason M. Maly, Jesstyn J. Maly, and Anthony N. Shultz; brother, Jack (Irma) Walter of Waverly; sister, Virginia (Robert) Shusta of Willows, CA; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by son, Joe R. Shultz; parents, Finley and Wilma Walter; sisters, Dianna (Claude) Hooper and Doreen E. Primrose; brothers, Monte (Doris) Walter and Finley E. Walter; nephew, Don Shusta.

Rev. Charles Townsend will be officiating.

Pallbearers are Dennis Chmelka, John Walter, Jason Maly, Joe P. Shultz, Roger Krause, and Kent Halvorsen.
