Mary A. Elbracht, 88 of Wahoo, NE died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo. She was born January 29, 1927 in Howells, NE to Anton and Sophie (Ridder) Elbracht. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Howells and continued her education, graduating from Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI.

Mary taught elementary school for many years in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska. She loved her family and teaching was a God given gift.

She is survived by sisters: Frances Osbon of Fremont, Alice (Bill) Andresen of St. Joseph, MO, Wilma Kantor of Wahoo, Florence Renner of Bennington, and Jean (Rich) Sellhorst of Omaha; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers: Henry, Herman, Ted and Alois(died in infancy) Elbracht.

Mary’s family sincerely thanks the staff at South Haven Living Center for the excellent care of Mary during her years of residency there.
