Mary Ann Rosenboom, 85 of rural Murdock, NE, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lincoln, NE.  She was born Oct. 12, 1928 to Omar K. and Carrie (Barger) Yardley near Greenwood, NE.  She grew up around the Ashland-Greenwood area graduating from high school in Ashland.  On Dec. 10, 1948 she married Gerald Rosenboom, a marriage that lasted over 61 years until his death.  They had five children, Alan, Barbara, Don, Carol, and Eric.  Mary Ann and Gerald farmed in the Ashland area until they retired to their acreage where she continued to live until she passed away.  She was a faithful member of the First Congregational Church in Ashland.

She loved her family and made many family dinners to bring kids, grandkids, and great grandkids all together.  She supported the kids’ and grandkids’ sports, 4-H, and school activities. She sent lots of cards to family and friends to commemorate many occasions.  She enjoyed the farm, doing crossword puzzles, books, her pets, her church activities, and eating lunch with Marge & Donle.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; parents; daughter, Barbara; brothers Delmar and Norman, sisters- and brothers-in-law, Jeri Yardley, Glen and Betty Rosenboom, LeRoy Rosenboom, LaVern Rosenboom, and Valdean Rosenboom.  She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Dennis Bozarth, Lincoln, sons and daughters-in-laws Alan and Sandy Rosenboom, Martell, Don and Renise Rosenboom, and Eric Rosenboom and friend, Linda Styskal, Ashland, son-in-law Gene Hagstrom and fiancé Laurie Cowsky.  Grandchildren and spouses: Jay and Heidi Rosenboom, Kent and Angie Rosenboom, Matt and  Sarah Bozarth, Aaron and Jennie Bozarth, Darcie Hagstrom, Carrie Hagstrom, Victoria Rosenboom, Sophia Rosenboom, Chantel Rosenboom.  Step grandchildren:  Kelly Stoner, Kyle Stoner, Camilla Venhaus, Samantha Venhaus.  11 great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.  Brother and sisters-in law, Donle and Marge Yardley, Dorothy Yardley, and Gloria Rosenboom, many nieces and nephews.  Special pet: Buddy, her horse.
