Patsy “Pat” S. Miller, 82 of Mead, NE, died on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo. She was born September 17, 1932 on a farm south of Plattsmouth, NE to Lloyd Sr. and Marvel “Peg” (Webster) Scott. She attended grade schools near Murray, NE and south of Ashland. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1951.

While Glen served two years in the Army in Japan, Pat lived with her parents in Ashland. Upon Glen’s return they lived on a farm north of Ashland later moving to a farm north of Memphis. When Glen retired they moved into Mead where Pat was secretary of Mead Public Schools for nine years. She then worked 13 years for Saunders County, first in the County Superintendent of Schools office and later for the Highway Department. Pat retired in 2003 and moved into a new home in Mead.

Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, raising flowers, and playing cards. After retiring she worked part time at the Mead Library. She was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Ashland.

She is survived by children, Nick (Lisa Smith) Miller of Ashland, Mitchell (Sheri) Miller of Ashland, Annette (Robert) Thorson of Wahoo, Terry (Mary) Miller of Mead, and Jill (Jerry) Vandeman of Lincoln; grandchildren, Brian (Ali) Miller, Justin (Sally) Miller, Kurt (Carrie Christensen) Miller, Rob (Becky) Thorson, Michael (Tyne) Thorson, Adam (Jess) Miller, Christopher Miller, Niki (Mike) Riecken, Kate (Jason) Stranhan, Kristine (Ren) Moore, Sarah (Ryan) Krempin, Angela (Randy) Siske, Carol (Nick Beare) Miller, Abby Miller, and April and Ashley Vandeman; 29 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bethene Scott of Outlook, MT; many nieces and nephews.

Her children were so special to her and she very much enjoyed attending the grandchildren’s school activities.

She was preceded in death by husband, Glen Miller; parents, Lloyd Sr. and Marvel “Peg” Scott; brothers, Lloyd Jr., Jack, and Frank Scott.
