Robert James “Jim” Vosler, 79 of Ashland, NE, entered into rest on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at his home in Ashland. He was born September 11, 1935 in Ashland to Harry and Elnora (Hall) Vosler. Jim attended elementary in Wann and then graduated from Ashland High School. He worked as a jockey for several years throughout Nebraska.

He was a member of the Ashland Saddle Club, Jockey Club, and the Ashland American Legion #129. Jim enjoyed hunting and playing cards with friends.

He is survived by son, Rodney Vosler of Inavale, NE; brothers, Dude (Ducky) Vosler of Morse Bluff and Butch (Vicki) Vosler of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Norman Vosler.

    Jimmy was a very sweet man…he always made me laugh…I’m really gonna miss him. He was a great friend…my thoughts are with you all at this very sad time
