Robert “Jim” Lawson, 69 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in Wahoo. He was born August 17, 1945 in Huntington Park, CA to Robert and Mary Jane (Snyder) Lawson. Jim graduated from Wahoo Catholic in 1964 and Creighton University in 1968. On November 23, 1968, Jim was united in marriage to Carolyne Kralik at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Jim and Carolyne lived in Ralston for 30 years until they moved to Wahoo in 2006. Jim was a retail salesman for most of his career, most recently he spent 13 years with Nebraska Furniture Mart until his retirement in 2014.
Jim was a music lover and a sports enthusiast. He loved Husker football and Creighton basketball. Jim spent a lot of his time in his music studio or exercising. He was forever trying to master the game of golf. Spending time with his grandkids was very important and they loved rides on his Polaris Ranger.
He is survived by wife of 46 years, Carolyne Lawson; children, Amy (Aaron) Dunlap of Wahoo and Robb (Christine) Lawson of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Adelia, Aaralyn, and Ace Dunlap and Grant Robert Lawson; many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
We offer our thoughts and prayers for the Lawson family. We only had a few encounters with Jim (Robb’s father), however they were enjoyable. Jim was a very entertaining and engaging man and always made us feel welcome. Please know you are all being thought about and we hope that sharing memories of the good times you all experienced with Jim will soften the loss that you all share. God Bless.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers. Lots of love to you all
Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Lawson family.
Carolyne and Family, I was shocked to read Jim’s obituary in today’s paper. My heart goes out to you and your children. My prayers are with all of you at this sad time. Mary Heavican
Robb and family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Your husband and father led a full and vibrant life. Peace be with you in this difficult time.
Lawson family…we’re sorry for your immense loss. May God through our Lord Jesus Christ be your refuge and strength through this time of mourning.
Jim was my sister’s father-in-law but he felt like family to us as well. He was a great guy who always made us laugh. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family.
Hard to believe Jim was called. He was very full of life when I visited him. The CD he recorded for me will be that much more cherished. Thoughts and Prayers to Carolyne and Family. Chris Riha
We were shocked to hear of Jim’s passing our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

To Carolyne and the family, We are so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing, much too soon for such a fun and loving person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Jim was my brother Chris’ best friend in Omaha harking back to when they first knew each other at Creighton. Jim helped to bring Chris out of his shell so to speak with his get to know everyone personality. Chris passed away sadly for us in 95 and I imagine right now he and Jim are once again enjoying a beer, a Creighton anecdote and more than a few of Jim’s jokes.
Our sympathy to all of Jim’s family. I remember him and his parents fondly. May your memories sustain you as you grieve.
