Ruth Hollan (Reed) (Hatfield) Garrison was born in Troy, TN on May 23, 1918 to Robert and Sallie (Willis) Reed. She passed away at age 99 at Burwell Community Health Center on April 16, 2018.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a brother, a son-in-law and her son, Gary Hatfield.
She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Bromley of Pharr, TX, Janice Martin of Torrington, WY and Sally Domeier of Burwell, NE, 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, her sister Vera Knisely, age 104 of Independence, MO and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth enjoyed knitting, crocheting, raising plants, her church and visiting friends and family.
Ruth was a member of our First Christian Church in Aurora Nebraska for many years. I remember how dedicated she was and how she loved teaching Sunday School. Ruth was a very caring lady and respected by all. We are all so sad to hear of her passing.
