Sandra M. Wills, 65, of Ashland, NE, died of respiratory failure and complications caused from cancer on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. She was born June 19, 1953 in Omaha, NE. Called Sam by friends and family, she grew up in Omaha and attended Benson High School. Sam lived in several different cities in her adult life and settled back in Omaha in 1994. In 1996 she met Eugene Wills and they married with a great celebration on July 4th, 1997 in Ashland.

Sam worked most of her adult life in the service industry; her last job was at Mahoney State Park where she worked until her first cancer diagnosis. She was known for her consistent optimism and quick sense of humor. Her hobbies and passions included drawing/art, singing, and enjoying movies (particularly the classics).

Sam is survived by her mother, Ardean Bolschalt of Omaha; children, Mardra (Quinn) Sikora, Tim (Lisa) Wright of Omaha, and Ryan (Chelsea) Porter of Ruidoso, NM; step-children, Brenda (Kevin) Gautier of Aurora, Daryl (Julie) Wills of Ashland; grandchildren, Marcus Sikora, Lauck Gautier, Jessica Gautier, Cleo Wills, Paul Wright and Luke Wright; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Noah, Grace, Bryce, Zoe, Willow, and Ava; brother, Randy (Micki) Schulze of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-Law, Gwen Hightshoe of Ashland; step-mother, Terri Schulze of Belle Vista, AR and additional step-siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Schulze.

Her husband Eugene also preceded her in death in May of 2018. Though a great loss, we find comfort in the belief they are together again.
