Victor J. Sousek, 82 of Prague, NE, entered in to eternal rest on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Wahoo, NE.  He was born in Prague, NE on March 30, 1934 to Frank and Anna (Vanek) Sousek. Victor attended District #84 school and Dwight Assumption High School. On October 24, 1959, he was united in marriage to Joyce Odvody at St. John the Baptist Church in Prague, NE. 

Victor was a lifelong farmer, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He loved to play the accordion and enjoyed carpentry.  Victor was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #3736, volunteer for the Prague Fire Department for 20 years, Prague Board of Education from 1982 to 1990, Saunders County Czech Singers and Saunders County Czech Club.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Sousek; children, Martin Sousek (Cindy McCulloch of David City, NE, Marcella (Matt) Boehnke of Plainfield, IL, Marlene (Jerry) Wade of Prague, NE, Mary Sousek of Prague, NE; grandchildren, Joshua (Allison) Wade, Chase Sousek, Austin Wade, Logan Wade, Cassidy Sousek, Aidan Boehnke; great-granddaughter, Ava Sousek; sister, Betty (Lawrence) Rezac, brothers, Frank and James Sousek; sister-in-laws, Anastasia Sousek, Nancy (Marian) Samek; brother-in-law, Dennis Odvody, sister-in-law, Arlene Odvody; many nieces, nephews and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stanley (Delores) Sousek, Joseph Sousek; sister-in-laws, Charlotte and Angela Sousek; sister, Anne (Tony) Divis; brother-in-law, Kenneth “Bud” Odvody; nephews, Marvin Sousek, Dale Rezac.
