Doris E. Regner, 79 of Ashland, NE, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln. She was born August 16, 1935 in Union, NE to John and Ireta Wood. Doris graduated from Plattsmouth High School. She worked for the Ashland Library as a librarian for about 30 years. Doris loved to read and she loved her animals.
She is survived by children, Cheryl (Chuck) Nyhoff of Martell, NE, John Regner of Lincoln, Kathy Short of Omaha, Jim (Diane) Regner of Greenwood, Joe Regner of Ashland, and Sandy (Gary) Lissy of Arizona; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Regner.
I’m very sorry for your loss. When I lived near Ashland I was so grateful to find a library there, as I love to read. Doris made my trips to the library such a fun experience. We always had great visits and she was always so helpful. She was a wonderful lady. I haven’t lived there for 14 years but I will never forget her kindness.
