Earl E. Brauckmuller, 85 of Waverly, NE, died Friday, September 4, 2015 at his home in Waverly. He was born January 5, 1930 in rural Ashland, NE to Ernest and Maddie (Timm) Brauckmuller. Earl farmed in the Waverly/Ashland area for most of his life. In 1953, he was married to Betty Kramer and they were blessed with three children: Thomas, Gary, and Julie. Betty died in August of 1982. On July 18, 1986, Earl married Lucille (Svoboda) Danaher at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ashland.
Earl was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Waverly and the Mid-States Antique Tractor and Engine Club. Earl loved gardening, polka dancing, camping, and fishing. He enjoyed attending antique tractor shows and having coffee with friends at the antique mall. He loved anything John Deere especially his tractors and mowers. Earl especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by wife, Lucille Brauckmuller; children, Thomas (Linda) Brauckmuller of Greenwood and Gary (Sue) Brauckmuller of Ashland; son-in-law, Patrick Liewer of Omaha; step-children, Merle Danaher of Lincoln, Patrick Danaher and friend Marsha Jensen of Greenwood, Robert Danaher of Lincoln, Tom Danaher of Lincoln, Bill Danaher of Lincoln, Mary Yeates of Lincoln, Jim Danaher of Lincoln, and Diane Sedlak of Lincoln; sister, Lois Meyer of Lincoln; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Helen “Betty” Brauckmuller; daughter, Julie Liewer; parents, Ernest and Maddie Brauckmuller; and an infant brother.
God bless you Lucille and family. You are in my prayers. He was a great guy and a good friend.
