Agnes M. Kavan, 98 of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo. She was born February 10, 1918 in Brainard, NE to James and Frances (Horacek) Vavra. Agnes graduated from Brainard High School. On September 17, 1946, she was married to Frank P. Kavan at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Brainard.

Agnes was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, St. Ludmilla Guild, and the PCCW. She enjoyed sewing, baking, polka, and old Bohemian music.

She is survived by children: Dennis (Carol) Kavan of Wahoo, Steve (Deb) Kavan of Omaha, Dan (Maurine) Kavan of Wahoo, Dolores (Lee) Arten of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Frank Kavan; son Michael George Kavan; and brothers: Adolph Vavra and Emil Vavra.

    First of all, thank you so much for calling and notifying us of Aunt Agnes’s passing. Even though we weren’t close, we always looked forward to her Christmas cards and letters letting us know how you all are doing. She was a very thoughtful lady and our prayers are with you and your family.
