Loved hearing about all your travels over the years and spending your 100 bday with you and many many lunches May you finally rest Amiel
I met Amiel at the Fairview cafe years ago. I was a teacher and worked as a waitress part-time. He would come in for a quick bite and a piece of pie and a long visit with a lonely waitress. I loved hearing his stories and enjoyed his very kind demeanor. We kept up for years exchanging letters and Christmas cards as I moved across three different states. The year I didn’t receive his card, I was heartbroken. Christmas was never the same; I had thought he had passed. I checked many times for his name in obituaries but could never find one. Today, again I thought about him fondly and googled his name. He lived until 100! I wish I had known where he had moved to, I would have loved to tell him how much I loved him. Rest in peace Amiel. I think of you often.
