Betty J. Draper, 90 of Wahoo, NE passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Saunders Medical Center in Wahoo, NE.  She was born April 11, 1931 in rural Valparaiso, NE to Oscar C. Johnson and Stella A. (Krafka) Johnson.  Betty graduated from Valparaiso High School on May 14, 1948.

She was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Draper.  Betty worked for Gooch Foods in Lincoln as a meat packer and machine operator before retiring.   After retiring she waitressed at Val’s Tavern in Valparaiso.

Betty was a member of Valparaiso United Methodist Church, Women’s Auxiliary #371 and the Senior Center in Valparaiso.   She enjoyed baking pies, playing BINGO, dancing, and attending every social gathering in her area.   She was also a die-hard Husker Football fan.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Pam Martin of Wahoo; granddaughters, Jill (Mike) Wiley, Jr. of Omaha, Jessica (Mark) Horsham of Wahoo; grandchildren, Ethan and Isaac Wiley, Zoey Worley, Bella and Eva Horsham; sister, Beverly Lindholm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Stella Johnson, husband Bob Draper; brother, Dayle Johnson.
