Carl R Campbell Sr, 84, of Ashland, NE passed away after a brief illness on September 1, 2023. He was born June 16, 1939, in Brady Nebraska to Edwin and Irene (Hauschild) Campbell.  He married Karen Campbell on November 30, 1963, in Ashland NE where they made their home and raised their children.

Carl is survived by two children and their spouses: Carl Jr. (Lisa) Campbell, Denise (Donna Wilson) Campbell.  He had four grandchildren, who were the joy of his life, Elizabeth (Caleb) Logsdon, Emily (Jaygan) Lancaster, Grant Campbell & Gage (Fiancé Carly Abel) Campbell.  Two great grandchildren, Oliver and Eliana. He is also survived by sisters Norma (Ryland) Giles and Phyllis Johnson; sister-in-law, Barbara (Bob) Fredrickson; and multiple nieces and nephews including his oldest nephew, Tom Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Campbell; parents Edwin and Irene Campbell and brother Bob Campbell.
