Carol Annette Jonas, 65 of Wahoo, NE was born on September 22, 1957 in Wahoo, NE to Marcella and George Jonas. She passed away on February 25, 2023 in Lincoln, NE.
Carol never met a stranger; she always remembered you and would tell you to say “I say Hi!” to those not there. Carol was a world traveler, went to Czech Republic twice, Mexico several times, she traveled to Branson and Adventure Land in Iowa with Region V several times, she also went on a cruise, an avid bowler, a coffee drinker in all the Wahoo coffee shops, a lover of “green Jell-O”, and a regular volunteer worker every July at the Camp Creek Threshers Farm Show.
She was also the first class at Villa Marie School in Waverly, NE.
One of Carol’s proudest accomplishments was her 40 plus years of employment at the Wahoo Pizza Hut. Thank you, Becky Lacey, for giving her a chance. The other is living independently in her apartment for over 40 years.
Carol was a proud client of Region V and enjoyed many activities, friends, and experiences with them.
Carol was preceded in death by her mom and dad, and her nephew Justin Jonas.
She is survived by her sisters, Rosanne (Scott) Oliva of Milligan, NE, Betty (Jon) Borgmann of Summerville, South Carolina, and Sharon (Joe) Heneger of Weeping Water, NE; brothers, Jim (Esther) Jonas, Tom Jonas, and Steve (Karen) Jonas, all of Wahoo, NE; several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
Rest in peace Carol you will be missed by all who knew you fly high and watch over all those who love 💕 you
