Carol Jean Haswell was born to Ronald Pruter and Darlene Pruter in Iowa City, Iowa on October 11, 1962. She was one of three siblings. Anyone who spoke to Carol knew about her love for her family, her bunnies and her time spent at the church.

Spouse- Carol met the love of her life, Robert Lee Haswell Sr. in the summer of 1997. She always talked about how they would use CB radios to talk until they lost connection. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married in Wahoo Nebraska on December 30,1997.

Children- Carol and Robert were excited to start a family of their own and their children meant the world to them. Carol was a devoted and loving mother.

Pets- Carol had a soft spot for their furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family member they were. The following bunnies will always have a special place in her heart: Hoppers, Spark, Snowy, Donkey, Velvet, Storm and Sonnie.

Hobbies- Carol had one passion in life that anyone who knew her would speak of instantly. Her love for house plants. Her favorite house plant was the mother-in-law tongue, also known as snake plant. She would occasionally make her way to Blooms Floral Shop to investigate the current house plants and flowers. Blooms was her favorite place to be in Ashland. On more than one occasion she would have a mother-in-law tongue to nurse back to health.

Carol was preceded in death by her father (Ronald), mother (Darlene), and brother (Francis). She is survived by her loving husband Robert Haswell Sr., her daughter Holly Haswell, her son Robbie Haswell, and her brother Mike Pruter.
