Per Dale’s wishes, a private interment will be held at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo, NE.
Memorials may be sent in Dale’s name to the Wahoo Library or Saunders County Lost Pets Association.
Dale T. Shanahan, 82, of Wahoo, NE, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. He was born October 5, 1941 in Wahoo, NE to Tom and Hazel (Kruce) Shanahan.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 64 years, Suzanne; sons, Jeff Shanahan and Eric Shanahan; sister, Fran (Warner) Ecklund; brother-in-law, Lynn Rexroth; sister-in-law, Mary Brown; many nieces, nephews and cousins, including, Tim and Barbara Shanahan, Jason and Michelle Swanson and their son Riley; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Hazel Shanahan; sister, Sherri Rexroth; and his favorite companion, his dog Darcy.
Dale had a fabulous career in aerospace at Arrowhead Products in Los Alamitos, CA for close to 40 years. In 2001, he retired as president after serving in that capacity for 17 years.
Dale enjoyed his retirement, his farm, traveling and his biggest passion, golf.
I worked alongside Dale for many years and respected his leadership. A very intelligent individual with an overall sense of vision in all things mechanical and engineering. He leaves behind a pioneering legacy at Arrowhead, and will always be well respected. Bill G.

For almost 70 years Dale and Suzanne have been our very close friends. We all know where Dale is, and Jesus Christ is holding his hand. Until we meet again. Condolences to Suzanne, Jeff and Eric.
I only knew Dale for a brief time but he was always such a light! He never complained and was always so sweet to me! I enjoyed our long conversations and learning about his job and time in California. Sending the family lots of love and prayers at this time. Dale was truly an amazing guy!
