Donald “Butch” L. Wiles, 82, of Greenwood, NE, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at his home in Greenwood, NE.  He was born December 31, 1941 in Omaha, NE to Jack and Pauline (Mettler) Wiles.

He is survived by wife, Pat Wiles; son, Donnie (Shari) Wiles; many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Pauline; brothers, Joe and Richard; sisters, Jacque “Ann” and Janice.

Butch and Pat were married June 18, 1961, a fabulous 62 years!  Butch was a dedicated employee for Burlington Northern Railroad for over 30 years, retiring in 2009.  He was an active part of the Boy Scouts Greenwood Troop 34 while Donnie was growing up.  Many fond memories were made during those years!  Prior to his retirement, he was an active member of the Greenwood Volunteer Fire and Rescue. He enjoyed a good round of golf and played on the Burlington Golf League.
