Donald J. Fisher, 75 of Wahoo, NE, entered into rest on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. He was born September 14, 1940 in Wahoo, NE to Joe and Anna (Hradsky) Fisher. Don graduated from Mead High School in 1958. On June 1, 1968, he was married to Carolyn Hanke at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Don worked for Hormel in Fremont for many years before he started farming. He also worked for the UNL Dairy in Mead in addition to farming.
Don was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus #1833. He was a member of the Nebraska Soybean Association, Nebraska Corn Growers Association, NRA, and the Kingsman Car Club. He also served on the Ithaca Fire Board. Don was a car enthusiast and he enjoyed attending car shows.
He is survived by wife of 47 years Carolyn Fisher; children: Brian Fisher of Wahoo and Amy Fisher of Wahoo; sister Darlene Barlow of California; brother Dick (Vanessa) Fisher of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by parents Joe and Anna Fisher; brother-in-law Max Barlow.

We are very sad to hear of Dons passing. I really enjoyed working with Don at UNL Dairy. He was a very hard worker and He was not afraid to take on any chore.
