Donna Swoboda 91 of Wahoo passed away Friday April 29, 2022 at Saunders Medical Center in Wahoo. She was born on April 16, 1931 in Yutan, to William and Florence Peters.  Donna graduated from Wahoo High School 1949.

She married Louis Swoboda, May 3, 1952 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Donna work as a receptionist at Wahoo Dental for 15 years, after her retirement from there she was the bailiff for Saunders County court.

Donna was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo.  She was a lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary post 4502 in Wahoo.

Donna enjoyed being outdoors, many vacations were camping and fishing. She loved traveling and took many trips with family and dear friends.

Donna was also a baton twirler for Wahoo High School and she could still twirl her baton at 91 and loved to show you her skills.

Donna also really enjoyed a good card game with family and friends.  Bridge grew to be a favorite and she played in several clubs and truly enjoyed her Senior Center bridge friends.

Donna always loved to cook and bake, but she really enjoyed making peanut clusters, but she loves sharing them even more!

Donna loved Wanahoo Lake and could be found out here every Monday having lunch with her daughter, no matter the weather.

Donna is survived by son, Jeffery Swoboda, Danville KY; daughter, Lori (Middy) Hughes, Lincoln, NE; grandkids, Jacob (Nissan) Swoboda, San Jose, CA, Roger (Ashley) Swoboda, Fremont, NE, Nellie Sample, Wichita, KS, Julaine (Owen) Callihan, Altus OK, William (Samantha) Swoboda, Danville, KY,  Kimberly (Jill) Hughes, Lincoln, NE, Ryan (Dena) Hughes, Lincoln, NE; 13 great-grandkids; brother, Ron (Janet) Peters; special family friends, Darryl and Connie Blum; honorary grandkids, Melanie Burke, Jessica Wagner, Allison Blum, Theo Blum, Brandon Blum, Danielle Blum, and Nicole Blum;  nieces, nephews and many friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Swoboda; brother, Wayne Peters; sister, Dorothy Lanik; and daughter-in-law, Mary Swoboda.
