Dorsey “Butch” L. Curtis, 75, of Ashland, NE, died Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.  He was born May 21, 1941 in North Platte, NE to Roman and Dorothy (Jasnoch) Curtis.  In 1959, Butch graduated from St. Patrick High School in North Platte.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1959-1963 until he was honorably discharged.

On June 12, 1965, Butch was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Kugler in North Platte at St. Patrick Catholic Church.  Butch worked as a Carrier Enforcement Officer for the State of Nebraska from 1967-2003.  He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by wife of 51 years Peggy Ann Curtis; son Russ (Anna) Curtis of Omaha; daughter Chris Curtis of Omaha; grandson Kraig Curtis of Omaha; brother Michael (Patty) Curtis of North Platte; sisters: Patricia Gaultier of Denver, CO, Ramona (Tom) Phifer of North Platte, and Deborah (Mike) Rodgers of Hastings; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents Roman and Dorothy Curtis; infant sister Sally Ann Curtis; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dallas and Lois Kugler.

    Peg and family, we are so sorry to hear that Butch has passed. We had a lot of good times at the race track with you and your family. Butch had a heart of gold and his sense of humor was wonderful. What a great photo of Butch! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family a this time. May he rest in peace.
