Esther K. Rice, 76 of Lincoln passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Tabitha Journey House in Lincoln, NE.  She was born March 1, 1942 in Greenwood, NE to Clifford and Louisa (Miford) Homan.  She was one of fifteen children in her family.  She grew up and attended High School in Fairbury, NE.  Esther was united in  marriage to Robert Nelson Rice, Sr. on June 9, 1966 in Fairbury, NE.  From this union four children were born.

Esther was a member of the Salvation Army in Lincoln.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, puzzles, painting pottery, making crafts and watching MASH.

Esther is survived by her children, Teena Rice, Traci Rice, Robert Rice all of Lincoln and Loren Rice of   Bennet, NE and Lori Knoll of Kansas; grandchildren, Brett Rice, Matthew (Justina) Rice, Taylor (LeRoy) Dickinson, Trevor Filkin, Brandon Filkin, Chyler Shaw; great-grandchildren, Izzabella, Carolyn, Nova, Colby, Sydney and Mia; siblings, Alma, Jolean, Thelma, Lois, Rita & Morris; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nelson Rice, Sr.; granddaughter, Shannon Amick; parents, Clifford and Louisa Homan and siblings.
