Frank J. Koranda, 84, of Wahoo, NE, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at South Haven Living Center in Wahoo.  He was born October 6, 1932 in Weston, NE to Stanley and Libbie (Havlovic) Koranda.  Frank attended District 83 country school.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War until he was honorably discharged in 1954.  On May 3, 1955, he was united in marriage to Gladys Helen Hula at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo.  Frank worked for the City of Wahoo in the Streets Department until he retired in 1995.

Frank was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the American Legion.  He always enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and his family.  When a project needed to be done Frank was always there to help.

He is survived by children: Steve Koranda of Wahoo, Karen Holmes of Wahoo, Dwayne (Liz) Koranda of Wahoo, Frankie (Deb) Koranda of Wahoo, and Cheryl Needham of Victorville, CA; 19 grandchildren: Angela Stuart, Dustin Drews, Stefanie Lancaster, Brian Koranda, Katrina Bowen, Dr. Robert Bowen, Michael Holmes, Dawn Koranda, Nicole Babst, Brittany Smola, Amber Rucker, Christy Urban, Heather Brazil, Megan Grant, Shawn Koranda, Eric Koranda, Matt Koranda, Tricia Koranda, and Darcy Needham; 20 great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Hannah, and Bethany Stuart, Boaz Drews, Libby and Eva Lancaster, Brently Koranda, Kyle, Calvin, and Quentin Babst, Waylon Thompson, Emerson, Charlotte, and Tyson Rucker, Ethan and Trevor Urban, Simon Grant, Donovan Needham, Penelope Cubillo, and Milania Bowen; sister Adeline Novacek of Omaha; brothers Leonard (Margo) Koranda of Wahoo and Robert (Rose Ann) Koranda of Wahoo; brother-in-law Ray Hula of Colon; many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Koranda; son-in-law David Holmes; daughter-in-law Diann Koranda; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rudy and Lillian Ludvik; and brother-in-law Dennis Novacek.
