Gary R. Pike, 70 of Ashland, NE passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 in Omaha, NE. He was born June 26, 1952 in Omaha to Richard D. and Patsy (Scheef) Pike. He graduated from Ashland-Greenwood High School in 1970. He was united in marriage to Gloria Prinz on July 10, 1971 in Yutan, NE. Gary worked for OPPD as a utility lineman for 35 years before retiring in 2008.
He was a member of IBEW and the Country Drive Golf Course. He enjoyed playing golf, slow pitch softball, Keno, and going to the horse and dog tracks. He especially loved Creighton Bluejays Basketball.
Gary is survived by his wife, Gloria Pike, daughter, Angie Dickes; son, Danko (Corri) Pike; grandchildren, Kody (Macie) Dickes, Austin (Emily) Dickes, Gianna Pike; great-grandchildren, McKenzie & Creighton Dickes; siblings, Cindy (Ken) Ward, Dick (Debbie) Pike; brothers & sisters-in-law, Audrey (Bob) Williams, Tom Syverson, Lorre (Leroy) Novotny; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Patsy Pike; brother, Ron Pike; sister-in-law, Debbie (Dennis) Bouc; father-in-law, Delmar Prinz; mother-in-law, Virginia Hendrickson; step parents-in-law, Ray and Lorraine Syverson.

Gloria and family so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Gary as a very good athlete and competitor. We had some great times at OPPD and off the job over 40 years ago. He will always be my friend.
