Kathryn “Kathy” Louise (Butler) Owen, 62 of Ashland, NE, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Omaha, NE, surrounded by love. Kathy was born in Magnolia, AR, on September 3, 1953 to parents Floyd and Theresa (Rosprim) Butler. She was united in marriage to George W. Owen, Jr. on September 9, 1978, in Belton, TX.
Kathy was employed as an office manager for 29 years at Rochester Armored Car until her retirement on September 30, 2015. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, and spending time with her granddaughters.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 38 wonderful years, George; son, George W. Owen III and his wife Courtney; granddaughters, Baylie and Mackenzie; sisters, Julie Youngblood, Eva Ebert, Marilyn Miles, and Sally Reyes; brother, Matt Butler; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Theresa Butler; and sister, Felicia Lohre

Dear Cousin’s, your all in our thoughts and prayers, and we’re so sorry for your loss. Kathy was a joy to be around. Our human being hearts hurt so bad at these times. But along with hugs, our tears are warm and help with that pain. Keep them flowing. Love to you all.
Had a chance to work with Kathy over the years, she was an awesome person and a fighter. Our thoughts and prayers are with all her family and all that knew here.
